Begun in 1912, Formica, for a long time, was a
small Cincinnati-based fledgling company fighting to stay afloat
amongst the bigger giants in the solid surface industry. At the same
time, Formica was fighting all the problems of a small company.
Nonetheless, a persevering spirit and a desire to make itself known in
the industry pushed Formica through the hard times, and today, it is
globally known as a solid surface and laminate industry leader.
